Day 1

  1. Your Italian adventure begins in Rome, where you will arrive on your own. Upon your arrival, you will have time to relax and settle in before joining the group for a welcome aperitif, followed by a delicious dinner, in a restaurant just next to your hotel.

  2. In this occasion, you will have the opportunity to meet fellow travellers and Great Italy Tour’s team who will greet you with a warm welcome! The evening will offer an introduction to the culinary delights of Italy while building anticipation for the upcoming visit in Sicily and Mount Etna Volcano.

Day 2

  1. After breakfast, you will travel south to Salerno, coastal city known for its beautiful seafront promenade and historic architecture. Here, you will have lunch before boarding a ferry to cross the stunning Mediterranean sea on your way to Sicily. This scenic journey will provide a breathtaking view of the Italian coastline and set the stage for the incredible experience to come!

  2. Upon arriving in Sicily, you’ll check into your hotel and have the rest of the evening to relax. Begins like that your journey in southern Italy that will make you discover wonderful landscapes, local culture and you will reach the Etna countryside through the panoramic routes, lava flows and wild nature!

Day 3

  1. You will go to explore the city: Catania, a vibrant city located at the base of Mount Etna Volcano. Is a bustling city with a unique blend of history and modernity.

  2. Explore its baroque architecture, lively markets and historical landmarks like Piazza del Duomo with his Fontana dell’Elefante, the symbol of the city.

Day 4

  1. No trip to Sicily is complete without visiting the imposing Mount Etna, Europe’s largest active volcano. On your way to Mount Etna volcano, your tour guide will explain you the surrounding landscapes and its activity. You will reach the Etna countryside through the panoramic routes, lava flows and wild nature! You will visit also Silvestri Craters, once you arrived you will have time to explore the site, take a lot of incredible pictures and enjoy some free time exploring the Silvestri Craters. The group will also have the chance to stop at a local bar for tasting some honey and local liqueurs!

  2. The volcano’s craters and lava fields are followed by a visit to a prestigious winery located on the fertile slopes of Etna. Here, you will enjoy a wine tasting experience, sampling some of the finest Etna wines, known for their distinct flavour, accompanied by traditional Sicilian delicacies.

Day 5

  1. This day of your Mount Etna and Sicily flavours Tour will begin with a guided tour of a picturesque town: Taormina, where you will experience a pistachio tasting. Sicilian pistachios, especially from the nearby region of Bronte, are world-renowned for their rich flavour. You will taste specialties like Bruschetta with Pistachio Pesto, Pistachio Cream, Cannoli with Ricotta Cream and Pistachio, Pistachio Ice cream and chocolate and more. The tasting is very rich, and the flavours are incredible.

  2. After the pistachio tasting, you will stroll through the charming street of Taormina, famous for its ancient Teatro Greco and stunning view of coastline, offering a spectacular backdrop of Mount Etna and the sea. This walking tour of Taormina will take you to admire its main highlights such as Palazzo Corvaja, Odeon, The Santa Caterina Church and of course the charming Piazza del Duomo. In the afternoon, the group will be treated to an exclusive private concert in an intimate setting. The music, combined with the magical atmosphere of Taormina will make this a memorable day to remember.

Day 6

  1. Travel to Agrigento, home to the world-famous Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which is home to some of the best-preserved ancient Greek temples in the world, including Temple of Concordia and Temple of Hera.

  2. Agrigento is one of Sicily’s most important archaeological sites. After exploring these majestic ruins, enjoy lunch in Agrigento’s old town. Return to your hotel after a day full of history in Agrigento.

Day 7

  1. Your last day in Mount Etna and Sicily flavours Tour will take you to the historic city Syracuse. In Syracuse, you’ll explore the ancient Neapolis archaeological park, home to the ancient Greek Theatre.

  2. Then visit Ortigia, Syracuse’s historic centre, where you can admire its baroque style architecture and enter its Cathedral! Next, you will enjoy a lunch, and you’ll have the opportunity to relax in the stunning ambiance.

Day 8

  1. Your 8 Days Mount Etna and Sicily Flavors Tour comes to an end, as you check out from your hotel and it’s time to depart on your own. Arrivederci!
