February – Venice Carnival Group Tour

Departure day! The transfer from Rome to Venice begins after breakfast, with a stop for lunch in Valdarno, a beautiful area near Florence known for its landscapes: the perfect place to enjoy a meal and stretch yourself before continuing your journey. After lunch, the journey continues to Venice.

Buongiorno: after breakfast you will enjoy a Carnival themed day tour in Venice. With your guide you will learn about the most important traditions of this unique celebration and the most famous Italian Carnival. Venice lights up and changes its atmosphere during this time of the year and you are lucky to experience it!

After a delicious lunch, make your own Carnival Mask in one of the oldest masks store of the city! First you will visit the store, then you will learn about the different Carnival masks: you will use all your creativity to make one for yourself! A perfect souvenir to take home with you! At the end of this experience, it’s time to go back to your hotel and enjoy dinner in a nearby restaurant.

Start day four with a Verona Walking Tour accompanied by a guide who will show you this city, world famous for being the city of Romeo and Juliet. Live the romantic atmosphere and enter Juliet’s house. Afterwards, enjoy a tasty lunch and some moments at leisure in the afternoon. Then head back to your hotel to get ready for a special night.

Your first stop will be Soave: one of the most beautiful Medieval villages of the Veneto Region, immersed in an enchanting landscape and famous for a special local white wine. With your guide you will visit the Soave Castle on top of the hill. Then you will enjoy a delicious lunch.

In the afternoon you will head to a local Winery, where you will enjoy a guided tour of the place and a delicious wine tasting of local wines. In fact, the Valpolicella area is home to villages and towns where nationally and internationally renowned red wines have been produced for centuries. At the end of the day, go back to your hotel for a delicious dinner and Buonanotte!

Enjoy a morning guided tour of Venice. With your guide you will enter the St Mark Cathedral and the Doge’s Palace. After this morning filled with art and culture enjoy a delicious lunch in Venice.

Your Venice Carnival themed tour continues in the afternoon with the visit to one of the most famous atelier which makes the typical Costumes for the Doge’s Ball: the most important event of the Venice Carnival. On the final day of your Venice Carnival Tour, you will reach one of the hidden gems of Veneto: Bassano del Grappa. This little borgo located in a valley will make you enjoy beautiful natural landscapes.

This town is known for its production of Grappa: this is why you will enjoy a visit to the Museum of Grappa and taste this delicious and fine liqueur. At the end of this day, your Driver will chauffeur you back to Venice for your last evening and buonanotte.
