Day 1

  1. Your Italian adventure begins in Rome, where you will arrive on your own. Upon your arrival, you will have time to relax and settle in before joining the group for a welcome aperitif, followed by a delicious dinner, in a restaurant just next to your hotel.

  2. In this occasion, you will have the opportunity to meet fellow travellers and Great Italy Tour’s team who will greet you with a warm welcome! The evening will offer an introduction to the culinary delights of Italy while building anticipation for the upcoming visit to Milan and the extraordinary Teatro alla Scala

Day 2

  1. After breakfast, the tour departs from Rome en route to Milan, with a stop for a lunch break in Valdarno, near to Florence known for its landscapes: the perfect place to enjoy a meal and stretch yourself before continuing your journey. Once lunch is concluded, the journey continues to Milan.

  2. Upon arriving in Milan, you’ll check into your hotel and have the rest of the evening to relax. Begins like that your journey in northern Italy that will make you discover wonderful landscapes, local culture and witness the remarkable Tosca at the legendary Teatro alla Scala!

Day 3

  1. Your first day of Teatro alla Scala and Northern Italy Highlights Tour will begin with a guided tour of some of the city’s most famous landmarks. Start with the Duomo di Milano (=Milan Cathedral), one of the most impressive Gothic cathedrals in the world, standing tall in the heart of the city.

  2. Enjoy a stroll through the Navigli, with picturesque canals designed by Leonardo da Vinci. The Navigli district is famous for its boutique shops, bustling cafes and lively atmosphere. This area is perfect to immerse yourself in the local culture and perhaps enjoying an aperitivo along the water’s edge.

Day 4

  1. The highlight of your group tour will be undoubtedly characterized by the evening performance of Tosca at Teatro alla Scala. You will begin your day with a tour of the Teatro alla Scala Museum, where you’ll learn about the history of this legendary venue. After the museum tour, you can enjoy a quick lunch nearby the Teatro.

  2. In the evening you’ll attend at the presentation of Puccini’s Tosca. This experience is the pinnacle of your trip, here you will be surrounded by the luxurious theatre with his balconies, velvet chair and magic atmosphere of Italian opera.

Day 5

  1. Following your incredible and unforgettable night with the opera at the Teatro alla Scala, the next day the tour takes you near Lake Iseo, a hilly area called Franciacorta, known for its world-class sparkling wines. You will experience a wine tasting, where you’ll enjoy the best Franciacorta wines and a delicious lunch amidst the stunning vineyards.

  2. After your visit, you’ll continue your tour to the Lake Iseo, one of the Italy’s hidden gems which host the largest natural lake island of Italy as well as the highest lake island in Europe that takes the name of Monte Isola. You can take a break by the water before returning to Milan.

Day 6

  1. Today you’ll have the entire day to discover this incredible world, exploring the fashion district. In the morning you will have the opportunity to visit an atelier that produces bags for many famous Italian brand. Furthermore, you will have the occasion to produce from zero your own bag.

  2. In addition, you will have the chance to visit a selection of the best ateliers shops & fashion stores in the district of Milan, the well-known Quadrilatero della Moda. Milan is synonym with high fashion and no trip to Milan is complete without a day dedicate to it!

Day 7

  1. On your final day, you will do a trip to one of Italy’s most stunning locations: Lake Como, the deepest lake in the country. In 2014 it has been defined the most beautiful lake in the world by the American daily The Huffington Post. This destination it’s the perfect combination of an alpine scenery with a romantic lake. Many authors, especially during the Grand Tour, describes Lake Como as something sublime.

  2. You will enjoy a lunch in Bellagio, and you’ll have the opportunity to relax in the peaceful ambiance before your Private Driver will chauffeur you back to Milan for your last evening in the city.
